If I tried to describe myself, I’d have to go through so many drafts and memories, this wouldn’t be fun anymore…so let’s just say that I’m a native Texan, of Middle Eastern descent, with a love for travel, art (in all forms), food, new adventures, and cross-cultural collaboration. I’ve spent the majority of my professional life in politics and non-profit, and while I love what I do, I am constantly learning about myself.
I love experiencing life in as many ways as possible, and sometimes that lands me in some not so comfortable situations…and sometimes it finds me a killer “quotes of the day.” (which you can find on my Twitter and Facebook pages)…a quick note if you’re new to my world, the “quotes of the day” that I post are not always my own, but I just about never attribute any of them, except in very special situations.
I’ve never had my own blog, mostly because of the limitations my professional world requires. But I am currently dealing with the forced downtime that comes from multiple surgeries on my knees and legs, and in the interest of preserving my sanity, I’m going to write!
In order to ensure there are no surprises later, please note that this is my blog, with my thoughts, my interests, and my opinions. I don’t know what the “theme” is, and it’s entirely possible that one day I’ll be reviewing the latest movie I watched and the next I might be going off on a long-winded (but of course, highly entertaining and pertinent) political rant. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. If you have opinions, please share them. However, I will not tolerate any racism, bigotry, or prejudice of any kind to be published on my blog, so please take those words and thoughts somewhere else.
